Calgary Minor Softball Does NOT have a rule stating that a player must slide at home or any other base nor does Softball Alberta or Softball Canada (this is not new). Players have the option of running through or sliding at any base including home plate. A player is NOT automatically out if they do not slide at home or any other base and shall not be called out unless a tag has taken place. If in the judgment of the umpire there is an intentional collision the runner can be called out for interference, regardless if there was a tag.
